This boxed set of NZ Native Birds Placemats features beautiful John Keulemans prints of 6 native New Zealand birds, from the book Bullers Birds, published in the 1870s.

The large cork backed placemats, 29cm in diameter, are heat resistant to 100C, but are not suitable for items taken directly from stove or oven.

The featured native birds are:

• Tui 
• Kakapo
• Kotare (Kingfisher)
• Kereru
• Huia
• Takahe

They are all magnificent birds, one extinct (Huia), the rest found in our native bush, and some in suburban areas as well.
